“The pick up time was on time. The taxi was comfortable and had good air con. The stops we did were Dambulla, Sigiriya and the minneriya elephant tour. We were offered the elephant tour however I felt this was part of what we actually booked. At dambulla we had to pay to put our shoes away which I felt was a rip off. The guide didn’t come up to dambulla or sigiriya to explain any of it which I thought they might have done with it being a tour. “Not the best trip we had in Sri Lanka, firstly we were messaged that the trip wouldn’t go to minneriya but would go to a nearby park instead. Unfortunately the elephants hadn’t moved on to this area yet so sightings were few and far between. We also took the longest route possible to get there so by the time we had eaten lunch there was only 90 mins left before the park shut and we actually spent less time than that there certainly not the safari length we were promised.”
