“A very long day from Negombo. Joseph the driver was brilliant but we felt the actual Wilpattu safari was disappointing (considering we spent £550 for 4 of us). Didn’t see much - one elephant in the distance, a few peacocks, deer and a water buffalo - all over 10 hours in a bumpy jeep. 5 hours would have been enough to see nothing.”

He was flexible on changing our safari dates. - There were many jeeps around for a low season. - Regarding the guide, it would be better to count on someone with better English.”

“It was a great experience. The drive was long, about 4 hours each way and 4 hours in the park. Our driver was excellent, and his knowledge of the road was outstanding. The park ranger did a great job in pointing out animals to us. I would do it again, but I would bring a lunch/dinner. There were very few western restaurants.”
